About ScubaAddicts - Sardine Run

ScubaAddicts is owner managed and fully guided by Craig & Shona who are your hosts and guides from the moment you arrive and together with the Sardine Run team, we offer many years experience in diving with sharks and guiding the annual Sardine Run in South Africa.

As a year-round dive operator we offer many different dive packages. Our purpose built dive lodge is situated at Umkomaas in South Africa which is our base for the various dive packages we offer throughout the year.

During the Sardine Run we operate out of Port St Johns. Many operators offer Sardine Run packages at the Aliwal Shoal & Protea Banks and while it would be easier to operate there, it's not reliable and is the main reason that people think the Sardine Run doesn't happen each year.

We travel south to Port St Johns to meet the Sardine Run and ensure that we are in the correct place for the action. The resort we stay at whilst in Port St. Johns is Cremorne, situated on the Umzimvubu river with fantastic views, en-suite facilities, a large bar area, restaurant, swimming pool, BBQ area and sandy beaches.
